Russell’s interests include ocular disease, children's vision, and therapeutics. He has taken part in eye screening of preschoolers and gives talks to the local community. Russell has traveled overseas to perform volunteer optometry work in remote regions of Nepal. In his spare time, Russell enjoys the outdoors, walking his Border Collie and watching AFL.
