Aphrodite has been an optometrist since 1984, and is a graduate from Brisbane’s QIT. She is a Behavioural Optometrist and thoroughly enjoys her work in providing family eyecare.
Opening her practice in Alexandra Hills in 1989, Aphrodite has over 30 years’ experience in paediatric optometry, and gets tremendous satisfaction in helping every member of the family – from babies through to adults – with their visual problems.
Today Aphrodite has a special interest in working with archery and shooting club enthusiasts to help them achieve better focus and precision in their chosen sport.
With extensive post graduate training in behavioural vision care, Aphrodite is a member of the Australian College of Behavioural Optometry, Optometrists Association of Australia and Contact Lens Society of Australia, while her practice is Brisbane’s only Colour Blind Sight Centre (TM).
Aphrodite is constantly updating her professional knowledge, and follows the latest developments in vision and eye care in order to better help her patients. In recent years this has included introducing IPL treatment for dry eye syndrome at the practice, as well as new methods of myopia control.
