Vivian Kong is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist who graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2019. Looking for a unique challenge, she relocated to Melbourne to work at the Australian College of Optometry, where she handled a high volume of complex cases, including emergency care, cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. During her tenure, she managed multiple satellite practices and provided clinical leadership and education to optometry students from UNSW, Flinders, Deakin, and Melbourne University.
Vivian has now returned home, and is committed to providing quality, patient-centred care at MST Optometrist Miranda. While Vivian enjoys all aspects of optometry, her special interest is in Dry Eye management. As a chronic dry eye sufferer herself, she is passionate about improving the quality of life of patients held back by ocular discomfort and poor vision. Vivian recently completed further studies at UNSW to stay at the forefront of developments in dry eye care.
Outside of optometry, Vivian enjoys an active lifestyle, playing volleyball, running, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Bo.
