Originally from Egypt, Dr Gad completed her primary dental qualifications in Alexandria in 2004. After moving to Australia, she completed her Australian Dental Council Exams and obtained her Graduate Certificate in Clinical Dentistry from the University of Melbourne in 2009. Although enjoying all aspects of dentistry, Dr Gad particularly enjoys the area of restorative dental and receives great satisfaction from being able to improve her patients’ aesthetics and dental pain relief. She also ensures she delivers the best possible care and treatment by remaining up to date with the latest in dentistry by attending professional development courses and seminars. She has recently been focusing on orthodontic treatment and has interests in oral surgery and oral appliance therapy. Dr Gad is often commended by patients for her thorough and educational approach to dental care. She is also well received by patients for her ability to communicate in a number of languages including, English, and Arabic, making them feel more at ease and comfortable. Outside of dentistry, Dr Gad enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, getting outdoors, travelling and shopping.

Charmaine Hall graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 2001. Dr Hall then worked in private practice in the Melbourne suburbs of Werribee and Keilor Downs and was employed as a dental officer for the School Dental Service, providing dental treatment for children and education of auxiliary staff. After having completed her doctorate in Clinical Paediatric Dentistry, Dr Hall worked as both a registrar and a fellow at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne. She has a special interest in inherited and acquired developmental conditions, dental trauma, dental treatment for medically compromised children and management of oral disease during early childhood. Dr Hall is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry, the Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry and the Australian Dental Association, as well as being on the Advisory Committee for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Dr Shakiba Askary graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Dentistry. As part of her training, Shakiba spent time serving rural and remote communities within Victoria. This provided her with invaluable experience in treating dental disease and maintaining oral health. Dr Shakiba enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but particularly enjoys restorative and preventative dentistry. She enjoys engaging with recent advances in dentistry, and with the industry as a whole through attending professional development courses. Dr Shakiba’s philosophy is to tailor dental care to each individual patient and empower them through informing them on how to best maintain their oral health. Shakiba does this through building relationships based on trust and transparency with her patients and focusing on their education. She has a kind and gentle demeanour to ensure her patients are at ease when in the dental chair. Dr Shakiba’s hobbies outside of dentistry include staying active, cooking and watching an absurd number of TV shows.

Alexis Martinez has been working in the dental industry for 6 years. She started as a dental assistant training and working at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. Following her passion and love for oral health and dentistry, she graduated from from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Oral Health. After graduating Alexis moved to the New South Wales coastal town of Port Macquarie and has made her way back to her hometown of Melbourne. Alexis is passionate about providing her patients with the highest quality of care with the goal of helping patients understand the importance of oral health, including tailored preventative measures. She wants all her patients and their families to be comfortable so they have a positive dental experience.
