Dr Alexa Nicole Canlas graduated from James Cook University in 2023, with a passion for providing a holistic approach with her dental treatment. There are many aspects of Dentistry which she enjoys including cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and paediatrics. Alexa believes that a patient-centred care is important to achieve the best outcome for the patient’s oral health and the smile they have always wanted. She has a way with anxious patients and helping people of all ages feel at ease during their appointments. Alexa understands that Dentistry is an ever-growing career and makes it a priority to constantly learn to provide the best and newest standard of care possible. When not at work, Alexa enjoys being active and spends her time going for walks, runs, and the gym. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and most importantly a good cup of coffee

I graduated from the University of Queensland in 1998 with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree (Honours).I have since worked in the Royal Australian Air Force, posted in Townsville and also serving overseas. At the Lavarack Barracks and RAAF base Townsville, I served as the Senior Dental Officer. In 2002 I began working in a private practice and established Confidence Dental.I am a very dedicated dentist when it comes to my patients and I provide an exceptional standard of service. I specialise in all aspects of general dentistry including crowns/bridges and full mouth rehabilitation.

I graduated from the Royal Army Dental Corps in the UK in 1985. Since then, I have worked in the UK and Africa before immigrating to Australia in 1989. I worked for many years alongside Periodontist Dr Brian James. I joined Confidence Dental in 2005 and have cultivated a strong connection with many loyal patients by providing them my calming and caring dental approach.

Dr Navdeep Kaur graduated in 2014 and worked overseas for 3 years before permanently moving to Australia in 2017. After successfully passing her Australian Dental council examinations in 2017 Navdeep has since worked in different private practices across Western Australia and victoria. Dr Kaur recently relocated to Townsville with her family and is enjoying the lifestyle North Queensland has to offer. Navdeep enjoys providing all aspects of general dentistry, including but not limited to root canals, wisdom teeth extractions, fillings, dentures, and cosmetic dentistry. Navdeep's philosophy is to work with her patients to achieve a more holistic approach to oral health. She aspires to make all dentistry from simple fillings to endodontics and extractions more predictable and comfortable for her patients. Dr Navdeep is a good listener and always tries her best to help her patients overcome their anxieties relating to dental treatment. She enjoys spending time with family, sports, painting, and horse riding during her free time. Along with English, she can also speak Hindi and Punjabi fluently.
